A statement of intent from the very beginning. Compared to their debut, Katharsis take steady steps deeper into darker and gloomier territory. Six tracks of raw, raging black metal, interspersed with four short interludes of whispering voices that bleed between the songs — meaning every proper track erupts with a tremendous blast of noise and screaming. Standouts include "The Chosen One" and "Blood Stainth the Temple Stones" for their riffs and unsettling melodies, and the sprawling closer "Infernal Solar Vortexx" for its inspired, churning chaos.
